Fundraiser for Cindy Lee's husband
Cindy Lee's husband, rock writer and CRAWDADDY! creator Paul Williams is suffering from early onset of dementia due to a brain injury he incurred in 1995. More at the website below..
In the meantime, Cindy Lee's music has taken a backseat until Paul can be placed into a nursing facility. She reports that she is VERY thankful to all of the friends and fans that have already contributed to the fund. All contributions go to help pay for Pauls care and care-givers, he currently resides with Cindy Lee and their seven year old son Alexander. Paul Williams site

Jackson Browne digs the Songs of Protest
Another successful Songs of Protest at LA's super hip LARGO! Peter Case was ever the master with his great new songs. Grant Lee Phillips with his gift for melody seranaded us with a brand new song written just for the night. Steve Kalinich sent good vibrations with his poem. Joel Rafael and fiddler Jamaica, Tommy Fuller and Nancy Hall were all great too. The icing on the cake was that JACKSON BROWNE was in the audience and talked to Cindy Lee about how much he loved the show and her new songs....who knows... maybe he'll sing at the next one....!?

Neil Young crew films Songs of Protest !!
Last week at Largo in Los Angeles Cindy Lee brought together the first Songs of Prtoest show featuring songwriters listed at Neil Youngs Living with War website. The show was a hit! Not only did it sell out a week before the show happened but the crowd seemed to dig the whole vibe. Now there will be another on Saturday May 12th at Largo again........................................
Plus, Neil Young sent a 3 man camera crew to film the performers meeting each other for the first time earlier in the day, rehersing the songs and then filming the show itself. It was quite a day...................................
Folks in attendance: The Truckee Brothers, John Doe, Jamaica Rafael, Jenny Yates, John Hughes, Rev. Madison Shockley, Josh Hisle, and Cindy Lee of course....................

NEW CINDY LEE ALBUM
Cindy Lee has been hard at work on her new as-yet-untitled new album. She's completed 6 new tracks with her band the Wigbillies, recording at the CHAOS in San Diego with Christopher Hoffee engineering and co-producing.There are a few guests on the album as well including Truckee Brothers Peat and Cady and the legendary John Doe of X signing a duet on "40 Cent Raise".
We've got no release info for you yet, but we will let you know as soon as we have any details. STAY TUNED!
